“So Doc, tell me straight. What is it that I’ve got?”
“Well, Buster, I think you’d better sit down.”
“I’m an RV. Can I just put in park?”
“Yes, that works too. Buster, it seems as though you’ve got….”
“Just tell me Doc, I can take it.”
“You’ve got parasites, Buster. Five of them. They seem to have taken over and are using you for their basic needs to function. They sleep. They Eat. They Play. They even, well how do I put this kindly, they even discard their waste. All within your hull.”
“Say it ain’t so, Doc! You always hear about it happening, but you never think it could happen to you! What can we do? There must be a way to get rid of them!”
“Not unless you want to be charged with vehicular homicide, I’m afraid there is nothing we can do. My advice to you, Buster, would be
to embrace them. They may be annoying, loud, and smelly, but if you watch them, they are actually quite entertaining! And, one of the perks is that they seem to want to show you around to lots of fun destinations. And have you seen the littlest one? Pretty cute.”
“You’re right, Doc. Way to look on the bright side. This is my life now and I’m going to enjoy these, these… what are they called?”
“Novaks. They’re called Novaks. Thanks for visiting General RV. I’m Carl, your mechanic. Here’s my card. Please come see me again with all of your maintenance needs.”
Buster the RV is the Novak’s second purchase. On the verge of a great adventure such as 10 straight months on the road, the Novaks deemed it wise to upgrade to a brand new, more reliable, more storage, EXTRA BATHROOM (!!!!) motorhome. Buster is a 2016 Fleetwood Bounder 36H bunkhouse. Some other perks of this beauty are the residential sized refrigerator, a washer/dryer combo in the aft lavatory, and a better heating system both inside and in the under carriage for the pipes. We’re thrilled to welcome Buster to the family as it will be a major part of our lives over the next year.
A Tribute to Harvey: Our first RV…
Harvey the RV joined the Novak family in August of 2015. With only one previous owner, Harvey was in great shape and was ready to be our host on some of our most exciting adventures. Harvey was a Thor, but in lieu of a giant hammer, weird helmet, blond locks, dreamy blue eyes, sinewy muscles…. I’m sorry, what were we talking about? Is it warm in here? Oh, right! Back to Hemsworth. I mean Harvey! Harvey. As I was saying, Harvey is NOT a Norse god, but rather a Thor windsport. He sleeps 10, and has lots of other awesome stats that I’m sure Zac could explain. He was our faithful guide on our adventures to DC, Savannah, Disney, and Nashville. We hope that another family enjoys Harvey just as much as the Novaks did and that he is being well cared for. Until we meet again, Harvey. Until we meet again….
